Here is a short excerpt from the story with Genie Harrison’s comments:

Some of Harvey Weinstein’s famous accusers — including actresses Rose McGowan, Annabella Sciorra and Asia Argento — made strong statements on social media Thursday endorsing news reports that the disgraced movie mogul would surrender to face sex-related criminal charges.

Weinstein turned himself in at NYPD’s 1st Precinct just before 7:30 a.m. ET Friday where he is expected to be booked with arraignment to follow. He is then expected to be released on bail, surrender his passport and be equipped with an electronic monitoring device.

Here’s what the women had to say:

… The lawyer for Sandeep Rehal, a former Weinstein assistant who filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the producer, issued a statement on the impending arrest.

“Harvey Weinstein should have been arrested and prosecuted a long time ago for his prolific criminal sexual acts,” lawyer Genie Harrison said. “Had he been held accountable years ago, there would be fewer victims of his sex crimes. His #TimesUp because so many fierce women have said #MeToo.

“We anxiously await the video of his surrender and will relish, and perhaps even frame, his mug shot.”
